It is a fair question, especially lately. Utah stood up a construction fraud task force after thousands of complaints and millions in homeowner losses, so being careful is smart. Godspeed is a licensed and insured Utah contractor, and we will hand you our license number and insurance details before you ever sign anything. You can verify us yourself through the state licensing site. We would rather you check than wonder.
Recurring cracks are common in Utah County homes because of ongoing foundation settling in our soil, and most crews just keep patching the surface. We look at why the crack is there first. If it is normal settling, we tape, blend, and finish it so it holds and disappears into the wall. If something structural is going on, we will tell you straight rather than take your money to patch it again in six months.
Real mineral lime wash bonds into the masonry and is breathable, so unlike cheap paint it will not peel or chip off your fireplace or brick. It is a mineral finish, not a wipeable plastic coating, so we will walk your space, look at how the room gets used, and tell you honestly whether lime wash or a different finish is the right call for a busy family home. No overselling.
